Kristin Raack is founder and principal of AltruNext, a firm that helps nonprofits flourish. She is committed to helping organizations advance the greater good by improving their health, achieving their missions, and increasing their sustainability. Kristin has worked in the nonprofit sector for 20 years as a staff member and consultant, resulting in broad experience: organizational assessments, strategic planning, fund development planning, corporate and foundation relations (grant writing), annual funds, major gifts, donor relations, and capital campaigns. She partners with organizations of all sizes—from volunteer-led start-ups to multi-million dollar entities, which provides her a unique perspective on nonprofit trends. She has a BA and MA in History. Kristin has served on the Board of the Chicago Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and currently serves on the Board of the Chicago Chapter of the Grant Professionals Association (GPA). Kristin desires to be a bold ally and friend to people of color: building upon her undergraduate studies in African-American history, she continues to learn about cultures and seek to develop an empathetic and informed race-conscious perspective. In 2019, she participated in a Race-Conscious Dialogues cohort to further understand her whiteness and how to use her influence and privilege for greater good.
