Michael Lowe is the chief equity officer for Shelby County Schools in Tennessee. He has also served as a regional superintendent and middle school principal in Memphis, Tenn. His work focuses on culturally responsive teaching and equity in student work.
Michael holds a B.S. in elementary education from the University of Memphis, and an education specialist and doctorate degree in leadership and instruction from Union University in Jackson, TN. Michael’s daily mantra is think systemically, but always act locally on behalf of our most underserved students in education.
