Ben Johnson

Dr. Ben Johnson has been an educator for over 30 years.  His passion is helping teachers to inspire their students to learn as nature intended.  He is a master teacher and has taught nearly every grade and all the core subjects.  He has led districts and schools to greater heights in four states has recently saved a start-up charter school from failure as the Executive Director.  His bold writing in Edutopia.org has inspired thousands of educators world-wide.  His landmark book, Teaching Students to Dig Deeper, now in its second edition, has provided school leaders, teachers, and parents with actionable strategies and techniques to develop the most important college and career readiness traits in students.  His start-up company, Learning Craft (learningcraft.com), aims at helping parents and educators to give their students learning traits and success capacities.  He has presented at national conferences, webinars, workshops and seminars.  Some of the beneficiaries of his training include the University of Texas at San Antonio, Texas State University, The Army Medical Training Center, the Ford PAS program, NASA, The Waldorf Alliance and many large and small charters and district schools.

 

Dr. Johnson holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, a Master of Arts Education Administration from Cal State San Bernardino, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Math Teaching from the Brigham Young University.  He is the father of seven wonderful grown children who have benefited from his inspired teaching and are leading successful lives of their own.  He spends his extra time poolside, in the garden or writing adventure stories.
